One of the genre that I like most is shounen-ai. Its kinda easy to get manga or anime in that genre so I've got tons of em. But as for dorama, its kinda super hard for me to get. It took me forever to get my hands on this dorama. It was even some kinda coincidence that I could get it (thanks to M and Suke who found it for me, you guys are the best!).
*spoiler alert*
The main characters of RH Plus are four vampires who live in some kinda big european mansion. Kiyoi, Ageha, Makoto and Masakazu are not exactly related but they live together as family. They're helping the police to solve difficult cases or cases that were related to another vampires. Those cases is usually given to them by someone called 'Mister' (who turned out to be a police officer, Michitaka, later in the series). As the story goes, there are more (either friend or foe) vampires appearing. One of them is Konoe who ended up as some sort of family friend (more to Masakazu's though) who sometimes came to have breakfast or help them clean the house.
Most of the cases are just ordinary cases that wasn't interrelated with other episodes but as the story advanced, we can see there are certain cases that actually has connection with the main characters life. We can see how they somehow ended up living together, Masakazu's goukons (lol), Kiyoi and Michitaka's relationship and for the finale, the revelation of Makoto's past.
RH Plus dorama was made based on a shounen-ai manga with the same title by Ayako Suwa (I tried so hard to search for it but still haven't managed to get my hands on the scanlations, damn...). The dorama only shows a little hint of shounen-ai unlike the manga. But overall for me this series in really worth watching (though I hope Masakazu and Konoe's relationship can go further, they're sooo cute :333)
The Characters
Kiyoi (Takano Hassei)
The oldest (and strongest) is Kiyoi who has been living for hundreds of years. He acts like the 'father’ the other three and really love the idea that four of them are living together as family. He’s usually very calm and gentle but could become ruthless and cruel toward people who tried to hurt his 'children' (like on Ami's case). He has a special relationship with Michitaka’s grandpa (who gave the Eternal Moon Mansion to Kiyoi).
Nogami Makoto (Miura Yuu)
He's awfully shy and quiet. He's pretty close to Ageha. His mother (a human) tried to kill him when he showed a sign of becoming a vampire like his father (but she failed and then gave him away to a church). That gave him a trauma and makes it hard for him to open his heart for others. After the final episodes he finally make peace with his past. He refused to go with his father and decided to stay at the Eternal Moon Mansion with his 'family'.
Seto Ageha (Tochihana Rakuto)
He's rather spoiled, childish and always clings to Kiyoi. Unlike Makoto, he’s kinda loud and hyper. When he was a kid he got into some kinda life threatening situation and Kiyoi turn him into a vampire to save his life. He really loves Kiyoi who also think that Ageha is very precious to him. He regard Makoto as his own family, and he would be enraged when someone hurt him.
Tamura Masakazu (Ojima Naoya)
On some of the first episodes, the only thing he did was planning and going on some goukons thus he practically never help Makoto and Ageha on their mission. He’s actually stronger than those two (proven when he and Konoe kicked some rogue vampire’s ass). He has the ability to memorize any book he read (though mostly he used this ability to memorize information on girls he dated).
Michitaka (Miyagi Kentaro)
A police officer who’s constantly giving Kiyoi missions to solve. He seems to have a complicated feeling toward Kiyoi (who loves to tease him). Though he always seems to try keeping a distance from the Eternal Moon Manor’s residence, we can see that he actually care about them and kinda hoping that Kiyoi would let him introduce himself to them properly. When the series ended, Kiyoi still hasn’t revealed Michitaka’s identity to his ‘children’.
Konoe Haruka (Fujita Rei)
He’s Masakazu’s friend. They first met at a goukon and ended up going to goukons together ever since. In terms of power, he’s as strong as Masakazu. He sometime comes to the Manor to have breakfast. He sometimes help Masakazu when he’s in trouble (Konoe even helped to tidy up his bedroom).
Misaki Ami (Tomatsu Haruka)
She used to have some ‘issues’. She stalked Makoto and tried to make him turn her into vampire to run away from her problems. She went too far and hurt Makoto thus Kiyoi snapped and suck her blood. But she somehow ended up fallin’ for Kiyoi. She often comes to the manor and when she does, she usually ended up fighting with Ageha (mostly because of Kiyoi).
