RH Plus Review

One of the genre that I like most is shounen-ai. Its kinda easy to get manga or anime in that genre so I've got tons of em. But as for dorama, its kinda super hard for me to get. It took me forever to get my hands on this dorama. It was even some kinda coincidence that I could get it (thanks to M and Suke who found it for me, you guys are the best!).

*spoiler alert*

The main characters of RH Plus are four vampires who live in some kinda big european mansion. Kiyoi, Ageha, Makoto and Masakazu are not exactly related but they live together as family. They're helping the police to solve difficult cases or cases that were related to another vampires. Those cases is usually given to them by someone called 'Mister' (who turned out to be a police officer, Michitaka, later in the series). As the story goes, there are more (either friend or foe) vampires appearing. One of them is Konoe who ended up as some sort of family friend (more to Masakazu's though) who sometimes came to have breakfast or help them clean the house.

Most of the cases are just ordinary cases that wasn't interrelated with other episodes but as the story advanced, we can see there are certain cases that actually has connection with the main characters life. We can see how they somehow ended up living together, Masakazu's goukons (lol), Kiyoi and Michitaka's relationship and for the finale, the revelation of Makoto's past.

RH Plus dorama was made based on a shounen-ai manga with the same title by Ayako Suwa (I tried so hard to search for it but still haven't managed to get my hands on the scanlations, damn...). The dorama only shows a little hint of shounen-ai unlike the manga. But overall for me this series in really worth watching (though I hope Masakazu and Konoe's relationship can go further, they're sooo cute :333)

The Characters

Kiyoi (Takano Hassei)
The oldest (and strongest) is Kiyoi who has been living for hundreds of years. He acts like the 'father’ the other three and really love the idea that four of them are living together as family. He’s usually very calm and gentle but could become ruthless and cruel toward people who tried to hurt his 'children' (like on Ami's case). He has a special relationship with Michitaka’s grandpa (who gave the Eternal Moon Mansion to Kiyoi).

Nogami Makoto (Miura Yuu)
He's awfully shy and quiet. He's pretty close to Ageha. His mother (a human) tried to kill him when he showed a sign of becoming a vampire like his father (but she failed and then gave him away to a church). That gave him a trauma and makes it hard for him to open his heart for others. After the final episodes he finally make peace with his past. He refused to go with his father and decided to stay at the Eternal Moon Mansion with his 'family'.

Seto Ageha (Tochihana Rakuto)
He's rather spoiled, childish and always clings to Kiyoi. Unlike Makoto, he’s kinda loud and hyper. When he was a kid he got into some kinda life threatening situation and Kiyoi turn him into a vampire to save his life. He really loves Kiyoi who also think that Ageha is very precious to him. He regard Makoto as his own family, and he would be enraged when someone hurt him.

Tamura Masakazu (Ojima Naoya)
On some of the first episodes, the only thing he did was planning and going on some goukons thus he practically never help Makoto and Ageha on their mission. He’s actually stronger than those two (proven when he and Konoe kicked some rogue vampire’s ass). He has the ability to memorize any book he read (though mostly he used this ability to memorize information on girls he dated).

Michitaka (Miyagi Kentaro)
A police officer who’s constantly giving Kiyoi missions to solve. He seems to have a complicated feeling toward Kiyoi (who loves to tease him). Though he always seems to try keeping a distance from the Eternal Moon Manor’s residence, we can see that he actually care about them and kinda hoping that Kiyoi would let him introduce himself to them properly. When the series ended, Kiyoi still hasn’t revealed Michitaka’s identity to his ‘children’.

Konoe Haruka (Fujita Rei)
He’s Masakazu’s friend. They first met at a goukon and ended up going to goukons together ever since. In terms of power, he’s as strong as Masakazu. He sometime comes to the Manor to have breakfast. He sometimes help Masakazu when he’s in trouble (Konoe even helped to tidy up his bedroom).

Misaki Ami (Tomatsu Haruka)
She used to have some ‘issues’. She stalked Makoto and tried to make him turn her into vampire to run away from her problems. She went too far and hurt Makoto thus Kiyoi snapped and suck her blood. But she somehow ended up fallin’ for Kiyoi. She often comes to the manor and when she does, she usually ended up fighting with Ageha (mostly because of Kiyoi).

She's Late

Lately, Onee-san loves to play around to her collegemate place. She often comes home late (after sun sets). I feel somewhat desperate when Onee-san go. Because, yeah, 'yknow....It's kinda quiet without her around. And next week she'll go outside Semarang to do her duty as a med student. May be this house will be more quiet.

Well, I hope she'll stay at home more often. We have a lot of things to TALK about FIGHT and ARGUE and DISCUSS about....

I DO have white skin

I always draw me-self with white for skin color (well, I'm not very fond of another color except black and white, tough). Don't you see my Avatar?? Noir avatar. Don't you see my skin is white?? I'm not editing true colors that captured by my camera. I was just cutting some un-important colors and background.

Look at me !!!!

TeeHeeTeeHee........My lip's gettin better, now. The threads've gone. And....here goes da MOST IMPORTANT part....which is....my Big sister won't laugh at me anymore when I'm HARDLY trying to laugh. Well, got my beautiful smile back, now.

And there's also one more thing, which is sorta important, my big sister is blanc as her name says "shiroikishi", shiro means white in english. And white means blanc in france. And I'm noir....noir means black in english. And, well, no one ever call me this way, but, I want ya to know that my full name is karasu means crow or raven in english. And black repesents me. So, the conclusion is....that's why I'm noir. So, "Shiki-Nee is Blanc" and "Chu is Noir". *^3^chuuuuuuu*

Chu's Greeting

This is chu's first post. Big sis usually do da posting stuff. But, yeah, just wanna post something today.

Oh, yeah, our next cosplay is D.gray-Man. I'll be "AGAIN" a male character. Yuu Kanda the owner of ( (Allen Walker....*tee hee*....^^)....kidding ) Mugen. I guess I hafta try to like crossdressing from now on. By da way, I'm planning original dress for my next-next-next-cosplay. Maybe a nice dress with traditional japanese touch. And I'll use katana. Actually, I bought that katana for Yuu Kanda cosplay, but..., um..., well..., the shape isn't suit Mugen. So I hafta make another katana that suits the shape of Mugen. Well, I don't waste my money for nothing, so I'll make a good use of that katana for the other cosplay.

Aa, yeah my lip is getting better after a lil serious operation (I'll tell ya 'bout tis later, kay?). Last week I can't drink and eat normally. I hafta use the help of straw (for drinkin) and teaspoon (for eatin). Also, I can't laugh and smile normally, too. Well, I guess Big sis would love to tell da story to ya.

trinity blood cosplay

He're comes our second cosplay. This time I wanna make it grand and flashy so chu and I decided to recruit some people to join our cosplay.

The big theme is Trinity Blood. It's one of my most favorite manga. The anime is kinda good too I guess. The costumes they wear are so cool, plus there are so many characters we can pick.

There are other thing too. I've always wanted to make some kinda community for people who love manga, anime, cosplay and all other japanesse stuff in my campus. I mean, we're med students, we definitely some fun things to do besides studying with all those brick-thick med books. So...

I kinda contact everyone I know (who like these stuff of course) in every year and asked if anyone wanna join our cosplay team. I managed to gather 18 people, that's an amazing number considering the time and place (wakakakakak...).

I pick the flashiest character, Caterina Sforza. I used red satin to make her dress. Its kinda difficult to sew. Its even soooo hard to cut it based on the pattern (it keeps on moving around, gaaaaaah!!!). As for chu, she said she's soo busy she didn't have time to sew herself (ugh.. again?!!!)

*chu: don't blame me! I'm a high school student! blame my teachers for giving me such a hard time (pout)*
*shiki: uhh... sorry? but I'm a med student and I still managed to sew that super difficult costume y know*
*chu: umm... (blush) but I'm still a high school student! period! (pouting again)*
*shiki: heh...*

So... the hard part is going around trying to find someone who can sew 17 costumes in 2 months. Kinda took me a week to finally find the rite one. An old friend of my mom, an expert in costume sewing (she once made some basara costumes and it was aweesoooomeee!!!). We practically begged so she would give us cheaper prize, and we did it! yattaaa!!!

Well, it all turned out alrite. I failed to get a blond wig though... but overall, I'm satisfied. Besides I got to establish my dream community, Igakusei community!!!
Now we've got a real cosplay group huh? wakakaka

here are some of the photos

miko cosplay

We really like cosplay, but usually we just kinda came and watch people or taking pictures and not wearing cotumes ourselves. There are many reasons I guess...

Well, chu hasn't been in high school back then (kinda too young I think) and I'm not yet ready to spend sooo damn much money on those costumes.

But now that chu is in high school already and I finally managed to cut some expenses on manga (I read mangascan most of the time now, I used to buy the printed one, I got like thousands of em at home), movies, anime and some other stuff, I decided to start cosplaying for real. As for chu, being in high school means she can start collecting fund for cosplay from english competition's prize money.

So... we need to start somewhere...
And somehow we heard about HVP (Harajuku Visual P...*something*...I forgot :P). But the problem was we got the info kinda late so we only have less than two weeks to prepare and we haven't even decide what kinda costume we're gonna wear!

So... we're kinda thinking for about 3 days (what a waste of time really...) and chu came up with the idea of just doing original or something since we're short on time. We both decided to wear miko costume.

I have a pattern to make yukata (thanks to a friend of mine from keio, Hisae-chan, who sent it to me last year) so we can make the white clothes. The problem was on the red hakama. Its kinda complicated and we haven't really got time to do some brainstorming on how to make it so... we decided to make a red skirt and combine it with obi.

Well, it was like... I mean that was the first time in my whole life I learned how to sew. And its a yukata (its kinda complicated on the sleeves) of all clothes! Ukh... I barely managed to make it in time. As for chu, my mom helped her so... (ukh, you really gotta do it yourselves next time chu!!!)
this is kinda our first costume and these are some of the pictures

ready..steady..go!!!

aaah... finally we get to make our own blog

took us quite a long time though, especially coz I'm busy setting up igakusei's blog

hope we can find some time to deal with this blog ^__^
